About the Colorado Society
of Clinical Pathologists...
Founded in 1921, the Society is one of the oldest pathology
societies in the country.
The society is active in:

Arranging a 3 day CME meeting in the
mountains with reputed National speakers.
Meeting include exhibitors to provide
information to the members about newer products of interest to
pathologists.

Arranging a one day CME meeting in the
fall.
-
Free breakfasts at the CME meetings.
-
Free evening lecture series (2/year) with
regional speakers.
-
COPIC ERS points at CME meetings when
feasible.
-
Liaison with CAP, CMS to have a voice in
practice related professional matters that affect our work.
-
Sponsoring delegate members to represent
Colorado at the CAP house of delegates.
-
Sponsoring resident delegate members to
represent Colorado at the CAP resident forum.
-
Political action committee will represent
the society in matters relevant to pathologists.
-
Recognizing distinguished pathologists
from Colorado once a year.
-
Free membership to retired members.
-
Enhance the education of pathology
trainees in Colorado with reduced rates for meetings.
-
Free membership in the society for state
pathology residents, to foster mentoring and a spirit of interaction
between the pathology residents and community pathologists.

Reduced fees for members and state
pathology residents to attend CSCP CME meetings.
-
Distribution of yearly
newsletter.
-
Distribution of brochures and reminders
for CSCP meetings.

Set up and maintenance of the CSCP web
site that includes meeting information, job listings, links to related
sites, a link to the CSCP newsletter
-
All voluntary, pro-bono board that meets
regularly to plan for the activities of the society and discuss issues
of relevance to the practice of pathology in the state.
